Hi all, I’m Ran and I am commandeering this blog. Yes, that’s right, this is a—cue dramatic music—*Blog Takeover.* I’m here to set the record straight. Melinda made some comments about me in her November 2nd post. Naughty, naughty writer. *Shakes head in dismay.*
Who am I you ask? I am Ran, son of Sarn and that makes me awesome by definition. My dad is a curse breaker after all. Less than 1% of all mages have the ability to become curse breakers and out of that select group, maybe a tenth have the inclination. You have to be born from someone who was cursed and cursed people are not usually nice people. However, curse breakers are nice people. Well, my dad is and since he’s the first curse breaker in an age, there you go.
Here I’ll break it down for you:
Cursed people = bad people
cursed person + uncursed person = potential to become a curse breaker
Curse breakers = nice people
Curse makers = bad people
Given the above equations, curse breakers are rare.
*this is based off a logic lesson my dad gave me. Blame him if my logic’s wrong.
But you know how awesome my dad is because you follow this blog, you’ve bought a copy of Curse Breaker: Enchanted, you read the book cover to cover twice and you left a review. So you know all about my awesome prowess. No one wields a teddy bear like I do. Bear says hello by the way. (I am four years old in
(I am four years old in Enchanted. Since I am authoring this post from the story’s future, I am not four years old now. And no, I won’t tell you how old I am. Good little boys never do.)
Getting back to my gripe, I did not steal my Uncle’s journal. I *borrowed it.*
Uh-oh I have to go now. My dad’s coming and I want my ad-ven-ture. I’ll be back later to finish explaining. Don’t tell Melinda I was here, but do sign up for our newsletter so you can be the first on your block to read excerpts of Curse Breaker Faceted. It’s going to be a wild ride!
